Sandberg California TM4 cream hardcore aged MN

General

In addition to their high-end, hand-made bass guitars, Sandberg is known for their outrageous aging techniques. The German guitar makers are masters at artificially aging their instruments. This cream-coloured TM4 from the California series has been treated to Sandberg's Hardcore Aging treatment. Its lacquer has been artificially and purposefully damaged to make it look like it has endured an incredibly hard and extremely long life. However, this couldn't be further from the truth, as this guitar is as fresh out of the Sandberg kitchen and comes complete with a Sandberg gig bag.

Sandberg California TM4: J-style Bass with Modern Features

The California TM4 is meticulously hand-made in Germany. This four-string electric bass has a familiar, asymmetrical J-style alder body with a 22-fret neck, bolted on with six screws for added strength and stability. The machine heads have a special hex screw mechanism that allows you to adjust their resistance and the Sandberg-designed bridge allows for rapid string changes and features three-way adjustable saddles. To make sure the open strings have the same tone as fretted strings, there's a 0 fret fitted just in front of the string nut.

Versatile Electronics by Delano

This relic bass features high-quality pickups from the Delano company in Germany. A J-style single-coil is mounted in the middle and a powerful Stingray-style humbucker sits at the bridge for the rougher stuff. This bass has a volume control, balance control for pickup blending and active bass and treble controls. You can switch to passive by pulling out the volume knob, turning the treble control into a traditional tone control to filter out the high frequencies. A mini-switch turns the humbucker into a single-coil, for a fierce, punchy tone.
