QPercussion QSticks Natural yellow

These QSticks are the second thinnest rods made by the Dutch company QPercussion. They sound subtle, but certainly not cowardly. They have a softer volume compared to sticks, and they sound louder and firmer than brushes. The individual sticks of these rods are not coloured but have been given a more subtle, natural finish. Halfway down the rods is a ring on which the colour code is clearly visible. With QSticks, as long as the colour is the same, the sticks are the same. So these yellow Natural QSticks are basically the same rods as the Colored and the Neon Colored rods. The difference is only the finish. This yellow variant has a thickness similar to standard 5A drumsticks.

QPercussion - QSticks

QSticks are handmade from a very sturdy and pliable type of wood. The rods have been given a double coat of lacquer which makes them last a lot longer. The fact that they are made by hand is nice: each pair receives the same care and attention, guaranteeing quality. QSticks are available in different colours and in three variants of each colour: coloured, neon coloured and in natural wood. Each colour has its own sound and volume range. For example, use the yellow version for lighter, mellow playing and the purple one for solid, hard work. The colour code is useful if you have several rods; the pairs can be quickly identified.

The rubber ring allows you to adjust the sound per stick. Slide the ring further towards the handle to give the rods a bit more air for a lighter sound, or slide the ring towards the top for a firmer, more focused attack. For optimum rebound, better stick control and to protect drumheads, the top of the QSticks is rounded. QSticks are used by numerous well-known international drummers and percussionists. Among others, Alex Acuña, Hans Eijkenaar, John Engels, Joost Kroon, Gijs Anders van Straalen, Martin Verdonk, Adam Nussbaum, Louis Conte and Cesar Zuiderwijk regularly carry one or more sets of the QSticks in their stick bags.
