The Electribe 2S sampler - part of Korg's Electribe series - is a great tool for DJs and producers who are just starting out, but will certainly also appeal to more experienced music producers. Both on stage and in the studio, a sampler needs to be fast, and this Electribe 2 certainly delivers.

The Electribe 2 Sampler boasts a number of interesting functions that allow you to explore new audio possibilities while you're playing back your carefully composed patterns. Several of its technological feats have been inherited from other Korg products, such as the King KORG, the kaossilator, the kaoss pad and the taktile. The internal memory of the Electribe 2S is capable of storing 250 patterns, including the preset patterns, which are excellent for modern dance music. Does that killer house track you're working on require complex chord progressions? No problem, thanks to a polyphonic playback function. This Korg Electribe provides in all your sampling and sequencing needs!

Sixteen velocity-sensitive pads (with LED lights) allow you to intuitively create patterns - not only can you hear your progress, you can see it too! Use the pads as a keyboard to record in real-time, or adjust the pitch and rhythm step by step. The Step Jump function, which has been borrowed from the Volca series, allows you to use the patterns you've created in an alternate form, while the Last Step function enables you to vary the length of each part. The Motion Sequence function lets you record the movements of the controls (button/knob), so you can us them later in any pattern you've created. By assigning drum sounds to the 16 pads, you can turn the Electribe 2 into a drum machine - you'll be able to create complex rhythm patterns without any effort.

Additional features

Pattern effects, groove templates, master effects and pattern sets are just a few of the many great features of the Korg Electribe 2S. To ensure that you have everything you need both on stage and in the studio, the sampler is equipped with MIDI IN/OUT as well as Sync IN/OUT. A USB connector and a card slot for SD and SDHC cards provide storage options and allow for communication with your computer. MIDI cables, a Lite version of Ableton Live 9 (including a license) and a power adapter are included. Would you like to be able to use the Electribe 2S on the go? Six AA batteries will keep the Korg sampler powered for up to five hours.
