General
For alto sax players who really need to be heard, such as those playing in a large orchestra, for example, this Yamaha MP AS 6CM mouthpiece is an excellent choice. This model produces powerful volume and a rich sound, and is ideal for experienced players.
The Custom series
When it's time to replace your mouthpiece, it's a good idea to take some time to leaf through and consider Yamaha's large assortment. As for the Custom series, these mouthpieces are made of ebonite, which is a hard vulcanised rubber material with woody musical properties. Using this material results in mouthpieces with outstandingly rich, warm intonation.
