Yamaha produces a diverse number of saxophone mouthpieces, each and every one with the great quality you know and expect from Yamaha. There are 5 mouthpieces for soprano sax from the Standard series: 3C, 4C, 5C, 6C and 7C. The MP SS 5C model is really popular with soloists and has a flexible, colour-rich sound that is slightly richer than the 4C mouthpiece.
Standard Series
Saxophone mouthpieces from the Standard series are fashioned from phenol, which is a high-quality synthetic material. When it comes to specifications and playing characteristics, this mouthpiece is incredibly consistent and offers you excellent quality and musicality. Because of the shorter facing length, this mouthpiece is also easier for beginners to play without sacrificing quality.
