The tone of an alto saxophone is largely formed in the mouthpiece, i.e. with the reed. With the Vandoren V21, you get a dark, warm sound in both the high and low register. This is because the reed has an increasingly narrow shape (conical). Thanks to the long cut-out top, the reed can easily vibrate, making the response direct. This means that large intervals are easily bridged. In this box, 10 are individually packed to ensure freshness. These reeds have strength 4.
