The American-made Gibson Modern Collection ES-339 figured has all the tonal character of an ES-335; the snug, manageable comfort of a slimline solidbody; and the sumptuous style of a AAA-grade maple soundboard coated in transparent nitrocellulose lacquer. While more compact than its cousins, this hollowbody packs the same rich resonance provided by a 3-ply maple and poplar build, alongside the full comfort and smooth playability of a rounded, C-profile neck, medium jumbo frets and 12" fretboard radius.

The ES-339 Figured: A Bright Acoustic Foundation & Thick Amplification

Since the body of the ES-339 has been shaved down a touch, the acoustic foundation has a brighter edge. To balance it out, Gibson have loaded this thinline archtop with a fat pair of '57 Classic humbuckers and the traditional four pot and 3-way switch control-combo, so this guitar can flip from the heavy bottom-end of the '57+ at the bridge to the more vintage vibe of the standard '57 at the neck, or mix up a forceful blend of both. In terms of hardware, it doesn't get much more stable than a set of nickel-plated Grover Rotomatic tuners, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, lightweight aluminium Stop Bar, and GraphTech nut. The Figured edition of the ES-339 comes complete with a hardshell case and Gibson Accessory Kit.
