General
The Gretsch Streamliners are affordable hollow-body guitars that offer great playing comfort and quality. The G2655T is a stylish black edition of the Center Block Junior, which features a nice, compact body. It also comes equipped with a Bigsby licensed tremolo and two Broad'Tron humbuckers, making it ideal for rockabilly, jazz and rock guitarists who don't shy away from high volumes and vibrato effects.
G2655T Streamliner Center-Block Junior: no feedback and stable
At the base of this guitar lie a laminated maple body and a set-in nato neck with rosewood fretboard. The resulting core sound is both prominent and well-defined, with a beautifully rich, warm touch. Furthermore, this compact Junior model guitar is fitted with a spruce centre block, which reinforces the guitar's top and helps counter feedback when you turn the volume and gain up.
Broad’Tron and Bigsby vibrato
Let's not forget to mention the two Broad'Tron pickups! These powerful pickups deliver solid bass, bright, shimmering trebles and growling mids. As such, they produce a unique sound that does great in a band situation. With a licensed Bigsby B50 tremolo, this T version of the G2655 allows you to add a vibrato effect to that classic Gretsch sound. Finally, the fixed Adjusto-Matic bridge and synthetic bone string nut help give Center Block Junior excellent tuning stability.
