Two potent blacktop Filter'Tron pickups are responsible for the amplified sound of this semi-acoustic Electromatic guitar. It combines the warm tone of a humbucker with the sparkling trebles of a single-coil, which is what gives the Gretsch G5420T its versatile character. Another juicy detail is the addition of a volume control with treble bleed which ensures the higher frequencies are sure to cut through the mix, even at lower volume levels.
