General

The Samson C-02 microphone is highly versatile and is suited for recording acoustic instruments, cymbals, percussion and piano. It can also be used as an overhead mic.

The C02 is directionally sensitive thanks to its super-cardioid pickup pattern. This allows for very selective recordings. It also has a very flat linear frequency response and an extra-sensitive capsule with low resistance, ensuring a nuanced sound.

The C 02 is delivered in a durable case with foam lining and including a shockmount microphone clip.

Wrote the following about Samson C02S pencil condenser microphone

Als je het hebt over prijs-kwaliteit verhouding, kom je bij deze microfoon bijzonder hoog uit. Voor de prijs krijg je een zeer mooie microfoon met genoeg hoog (maar niet scherp) en een uitstekende gain-before-feedback verhouding. In het laag mist de microfoon wat mij betreft wel wat body, en blijkt de max. SPL van 134 dB bovendien wat aan de hoge kant.
Dit alles maakt de Samson CO2 zeer geschikt als bijvoorbeeld overhead en voor (melodisch) percussie. Akoestische gitaar en andere instrumenten waarbij de klank ook body moet hebben zijn wat mij betreft minder voor deze microfoon weggelegd.
