General
The Slate Digital VMS ML-2 small-diaphragm condenser microphone comes complete with software to make it mimic the response of a range of renowned and much-loved vintage microphones, setting up you with a complete mic collection in one shot. The linear frequency response and large dynamic range of the ML-2 serve as an excellent 'starting' point for the VMS software, which essentially dials in the frequency response and harmonic distortion of the vintage microphone selected. To support extremely loud sources like amps and kick drums, the ML-2 also comes loaded with a Dynamic Mode that lets you lower the input sensitivity to keep your preamps and converters from clipping.
