General

Create a low fog effect with a conventional smoke machine? It's possible if you can be bothered to fill a bucket with ice and run an aluminium tube through it ... not exactly professional but it'll get the job done. Alternatively, the DNG-100 from Antari is a far more professional method. This unit cools the smoke from your smoke machine so that it stays floating low to the ground, making it a welcome guest at theatre productions and events in need of mystical effects to freak out an audience. Recommended for smoke machines with a capacity of 1500 to 3000 Watts.

Technology of the DNG-100

The DNG-100 is fitted with an internal cooling element that works on electricity, just like a freezer or refrigerator. The big advantage, however, is that it can cool much faster. With a weight of 72 kg it's no sweetheart, but this is necessary to house the large cooling elements. It consumes 750 Watts of power, which is pretty energy efficient, all things considered.
