General
Remo has been supplying these Coated Controlled Sound drumheads since 1968. They aim to give you more control over the sound of your drums. The drumheads have a medium to heavy duty character, suited for heavier music genres. The outer rim of the membrane produces nice mid-range tones, while the laminate dot in the middle offers deeper, more concentrated sounds.
Other Characteristics of the Remo Controlled Sound Snare Drumhead
This Controlled Sound edition is ideal for snare drum use, because the 0.127mm dot keeps the sound nice and centred. It prevents any unnecessary snare resonance from occurring and ensures that the snares react properly to your hits. This is the highest selling snare drum head since 1968 for a reason!

Het is een mooi vel van hoge kwaliteit. De resonantie van het vel is aan de randen minder gecontroleerd dan in het middel, waardoor je goed zelf kan bepalen wat voor geluid je wilt.
Het is zeker een aanrader voor je snare.

Voor mij is dit het beste snaredrumvel dat ik ooit gebruikt heb. Klinkt vet maar niet dof en is ook handig voor drummers die met brushes willen spelen omdat de 'dot' aan de onderkant van het vel zit. Ja, hij is erg geschikt voor rock en stevigere muziekstijlen maar is ook prima geschikt voor andere, wat lichtere stijlen. Een echte allrounder dus. Gaat trouwens ook best lang mee. Aanrader.

Veel snare vellen gehad maar uiteindelijk bij deze gebleven. Ik ben een enorme Evans fan maar sinds ik een stalen snare heb heb ik met dit vel de beste sound die ik ooit gehad heb!

Goed snaredrum vel, de prijs is hiermee in verhouding ook goed. Ik zou dit snaredrum vel aanraden voor de wat meer 'rock' drummers maar overal gewoon een goed vel!

Toen ik hem binnen kreeg heb ik hem gelijk gemonteerd en uitgeprobeerd. En het enige wat ik er over kan zeggen is geweldig. De zwarte dot geeft een mooi toon en is ook een handig richtpunt terwijl het witte er buiten en andere toon geeft die ook handig is om te gebruiken.
