Remo produces numerous drumheads, each with its own character and application. The dichotomy between transparent and coated heads is well known among drummers. This CX-0112-10 is a coated 12-inch drumhead from the Controlled Sound X series. This skin is highly suitable as a battering surface for fairly high-sounding snare drums.
Remo CX-0112-10 12-inch Controlled Sound X: robust sound richness
A special element is the 'reverse dot': an extra piece of 5 mil thick skin, attached to the bottom side of the drumhead. This provides increased durability and better sound balance. Even in fierce drumming, you need not fear torn sheets or an unpleasant sound response. In addition, the midrange is reproduced optimally, thanks to the solid structure of the coated CX-0112-10. This sheet is a vital component for drumming in studios and on stage.

Wrote the following about Remo CX-0112-10 Controlled Sound X 12-inch
Zelf heb ik hem op mijn side snare gedaan. Bij lage stemming en bij hoge stemming klinkt het super.
De overtonen worden voor mijn gevoel beter beheersd en de snare blijft niet te lang door 'zingen'.
Misschien willen sommigen nog moongel gebruiken om de overtonen nog meer te beperken maar ik hou persoonlijk wel van een iets 'zingende' snare.
