In the past decades, Remo has built a reputation in the world of drum and percussion hardware. Even the most famous drummers are proud to tell their fans they work with Remo. Examples? Travis Barker (Blink 182) and Rob Bourdon (Linkin Park): big names from famous bands. Even a top brand like Remo makes drumheads at an affordable price and, while it might seem that drumheads are not that important, nothing could be further from the truth. When it comes to choosing a drumhead, you have to take a lot into consideration since the type of drumhead directly influences the sound of your drum set.

Characteristics of the Remo BE-0112-00 Drumhead

This Emperor series of drumheads includes two versions. This is the coated version and has two layers of 0.178 mm Mylar film. The double layer of Mylar provides this type of drumhead with a warmer sound than its transparent counterparts. If you want to produce a warm sound with your 12-inch tom or snare drum with a medium sustain, you might want to go for this one. The drumhead is fit for studio applications but also for use on stage, for pop, R&B and rock drummers, for example. The drumheads are compatible with both snares or floor toms.

Ik speel in kleine ruimtes een Tama cocktailset, heel fijn ding, met een kleine snare. Ik kreeg commentaar dat die 'blikkerig' klonk dus kocht ik nieuwe vellen. Deze hebben de klank zeker verbetert! meer laag, vol en warmer ondanks de afmetingen. mooi afgewerkt ook en ik had ze met een dag in huis. heel tevreden mee dus!

Zeer goed vel. Mooi afgewerkt zoals altijd bij Remo. Klinkt heel goed. Ideaal voor pop/rock. Het vel heeft genoeg punch/attack en power maar heeft ook een lange sustain. Gaat ook nog eens lang mee. Deze vellen klinken ten opzichte van de (gewone Emperor) clear vellen wat 'warmer'. Aanrader!
