Batter heads have a great impact on the sound and feel of your drum kit. Remo has a wide range of heads for virtually any kind of drum, such as this CS-0113-10 Controlled Sound X 13-inch snare drum batter head, made of a single ply of 12-mil Mylar. A 5-mil-thick Reverse Dot on the bottom allows for added durability and helps focus the sound.
The CX-0113-10 is a coated drumhead, which means it has a slightly warmer sound than a clear head. This Controlled Sound X head offers optimal control over the sound, allowing for a vast array of dynamic possibilities. It allows your snare to sound rich and full, while still muffling any unwanted overtones. All in all, it's a great durable drumhead, that's well suited for both live and recording situations.
