The Evans B14ECSRD 14 inch EC Reverse Dot Snare Drumhead features a dual ply design where a 7 mil upper layer has been doubled up with a 10 mil underlayer. This head also has a 2 mil damping edge and 5 mil dot on the underside.

- Please note: Evans changed the logo on the drumhead in the middle of 2019. Up until then, 'Level 360' was also printed on the surface. You may receive a drumhead with or without the updated logo, but apart from that they're exactly the same. The box was also updated at the end of 2019.

Klinkt erg goed voor mijn genre (voornamelijk rock en hardere muziek); goede hoeveelheid stok-definitie, overtones zijn redelijk gecontroleerd. Voor ghostnotes en het zachtere werk is dit iets minder geschikt.

Mensen in de andere reviews klagen over te veel overtonen. Ik stem mijn bovenvellen zo laag mogenlijk en had hier geen last van. Ben zeer tevreden.

Vergeleken met de Power Center Reverse Dot van Evans heeft dit vel meer overtonen en klinkt een stuk scheller. Komt ook omdat ik vellen vrij hoog stem en van een 'pop' houd in mijn snaredrum. De PCRD heeft meer de sound die ik zoek, maar zeker een aanrader voor drummers die van een hoog en ringy geluid in de snare houden. Ik had echter een wat meer gefocust geluid verwacht van dit vel, maar dat komt name om het geen traditionele coating is, maar 'frosting' zoals Evans dat doet (geen coating, maar een wat wazig vel lijkt het dan).

Had dit vel besteld maar uiteindelijk een Remo coated gekocht. Dit vel heeft voor wat te veel overtonen.
