This 14 inch snare drumhead by Evans features a single ply of 10mil film, but offers the full sound of a double-ply drumhead. The integrated control ring on the underside eliminates overtones and provides an excellent sustain.

Dit is vel een aanwinst voor iedere drummer. Door de structuur en hoe het vel is opgebouwd heb je veel controle over de sound bij het stemmen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat er een aantal tonen worden weg gefilterd en je een sound over houdt dat breed inzetbaar is.
De coating is top (vaak bij Evans) en duurzaam. Live of in de studio is er weinig tape of gel nodig qua demping, gewoon kwestie van de oren goed gebruiken. Aanrader!

Beste snarevel op de Remo CS.
Dit is een enkellaagsvel die sterk genoeg is voor de harde klappen die ik uitdeel met mijn Pro Mark 2 b stokken.
Geluid is kort met een kleine boventoon maar toch met genoeg body om de snaren goed te laten klapperen. Ik heb deze geprobeerd op de SLP black Brass en op de Pearl Sensitone (Brass 5 inch diep) op beide snare drums klinkt deze ontzettend goed.
Spel gevoel is ook prima overigens, je kan ze compleet laag als hoog stemmen als je daar zin in hebt.

Een van mn favoriete vellen voor snaredrum. 'Gecontroleerd' is hier de juiste term. Haalt veel 'ring' uit de sustain en maakt het dus wat droger, maar bij lange na niet volledig dood. Veelzijdig drumvel voor moderne stijlen. Gaat ook best lang mee.

Wat een draak van een vel. Geeft een heerlijk droge sound. Ben erg tevreden met de soundcontrol die evans meeleverd. Toen ik nog remo gebruikte maakte ik altijd dempingen van oude vellen om onder het snare vel te leggen. bij evans is dat niet nodig. Heb hem nu ook op een black magic gezet, daar vind ik hem minder voor omdat hij dan toch wel veel geluid van de ketel wegneemt, voor hout is die naar mijn mening perfect.
