General
This Trash Snare from Latin Percussion's RAW series is one unique instrument. It makes a great snare for on the side, but it's also a timbale, a sea drum, and a shaker as well! The Trash Snare is made from an upcycled trash can lid which looks as funky as it sounds. The lid itself is 14 inches in diameter and equipped with a resonant head. It boasts a wide tuning range too—tune it low for a deep snare tone, or high for a bright, timbale-type sound. The trash Snare can be played with regular drum sticks.
Different sounds
With the Trash Snare, you'll get two important accessories: a set of synthetic beads, and a snare mat. You won't need the beads to get that familiar timbale sound, but you will need them when you want to use the Trash Snare as a shaker or sea drum. Move the snare horizontally from side to side at various speeds so you can create all kinds of dynamic sounds as the beads roll over the lid or the resonant head. It's up to you!
Snare Wire Sound Enhancer
The included Snare Wire Sound Enhancer is simple to mount using the ingenious clamp system that allows you to attach it to your snare hoop. With the snare mat placed on the head, you can produce a great snare sound, making the Trash Snare a great addition to any drum kit or percussion setup. Play both sides and experiment!
