The Tama DKP146 Soundworks 14 x 6" Kapur snare drum is made using an unusual type of wood: Kapur. This Asian wood type is twice as hard as mahogany, for instance. What's more, it also produces a great sound, as is apparent from snare with its 6-ply shell. Furthermore, the Sound Arc Hoops allow you to accurately control drumhead tension. This snare drum is great for virtually any style of music, and its gorgeous Matte Brown Kapur finish will look great in any drum kit!
Soundworks snare drums
Tama has a wide range of snare drums in their assortment. Many of these drums are made for specific drum kits, while others are specially designed signature models, and of course there's the exclusive Sound Lab Project series. The Soundworks snare drums are a little more affordable, but surely no less impressive. As successor to the successful Metalworks series, this line of snare drums is just as versatile. Available with maple, kapur and steel shells in various sizes, there's bound to be a great Soundworks snare drum out there for everyone.

NAMM 2016: Tama Presents New S.L.P. Snare Drums
Wednesday 20 January 2016Tama is also making an appearance at NAMM 2016, and will be presenting a couple of great new snare drums. Their Sound Lab Project series is being expanded with 3 new models, and they'll also be unveiling the successor to the Metalworks snare drums: the Soundworks series!
