I run a music school with where five drummers are regularly playing at the same time, decided to try some of these out as an upgrade on one kit. They're exceptionally nice, volume is great, they play well. You can definitely get bigger pads for the same price but for just eliminating volume, these are the most impressive pads I've ever used by a distance, and I've used a lot of kits before
