Do you own a Slingerland Radio King Clamshell snare drum? Then you can replace your string mat with the PR1416. Especially for older models of snare drums, Puresound has developed a Vintage series. Often, these older models have a unique way of attaching the string mats. Such is the case with the Slingerland Radio King. The string mat of this drum protrudes slightly buten the shell into the tensioner and holder. To fit on a 14-inch snare drum, the 16 steel strings are therefore 15-inch long, Because the mat is attached with screws, 0.25-inch holes have been made in the end plates. With this mat, you can make your old drum sound like new again.
