Shrek - the musical

The musical 'Shrek' is about the life of a green ogre called Shrek. Shrek lives in a swamp and likes to be alone. One day, however, his peace and quiet is disturbed by familiar characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Pinocchio and the Big Bad Wolf. Unable to appreciate this, he goes to seek redress from the one who sent these figures to his swamp; Lord Farquaad. On the way, he meets a donkey called Donkey. When they arrive at Lord Farquaad's place, they make a deal with the Lord; if Shrek and Donkey manage to free his fiancée, the lovely Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad will ensure that peace will return to Shrek's swamp. No sooner said than done, but when the princess is freed, Shrek falls in love with her. Lord Farquaad and Princess Fiona marry, but Fiona has a big secret; she is an Ogre herself. Every day, late at night, she transforms into an Oger. The inevitable happens; Fiona turns into an Oger, the Lord finds out and has his reservations about his brand-new bride. Shrek, meanwhile, manages to convince Fiona that he is the one for her, and he succeeds. They return to the swamp together with Donkey.
