Cascha CFL1B Soprano Recorder Student Baroque Fingering soprano recorder (blue)

General

A wooden recorder sounds warm and responds lightly, but the mouthpiece asks for careful maintenance. And with a seven-year-old playing it, the mouthpiece is exactly the part that takes the most wear. Plastic is far easier to live with in that respect, so why not combine the two? That is what the Cascha CFL1B does: a body of high-quality maple with a mouthpiece of low-maintenance plastic. You keep the warm sound and the light response of a wooden recorder, while the coloured mouthpiece can simply be rinsed off with water. The blue head is an eyecatcher too, among all the wood-coloured recorders in class.

Ready for the first recorder lesson

The CFL1B comes in two parts, held together by a high-quality seal, so after playing you can take it apart without any effort and clean it. The cleaning rod that comes with it does the rest. The lined fabric bag with closure keeps everything together when the recorder has to go into a full school bag. This is a C soprano with baroque fingering, and it responds lightly across the whole range, so nobody has to struggle to get a tone while still working on breath support. Children from around the age of six can start playing it, and adult beginners get plenty out of it as well.
