General
The YRS-83 is a soprano recorder from Yamaha with a baroque bore. This model is made of ebony. This is a hard, dense type of wood that provides a clear sound. There are a number of variants made of other types of wood, which have a different character in terms of sound. Many players like a recorder made of natural wood because of the complex tonal quality it gives. Yamaha ensures that the wood is well dried to make it a recorder with a warm, lively sound. It has a quick response and is pleasant to play. You get a cotton case included and cleaning utensils.
