General
The YRS-62 is a soprano recorder from Yamaha with a baroque bore. This model is made of kingwood. This dense, hard wood provides a big but focused sound. There are a number of variants made from other types of wood, which have a different character in terms of sound. Many players like a recorder made of natural wood, because of the complex tonal quality it gives. Yamaha ensures that the wood is well dried to make it a recorder with a warm, lively sound. It has a quick response and is pleasant to play. You get a cotton case included and cleaning utensils.
