General

The RCF SUB 8008-AS + NX 985-A speaker set combines a dual 18-inch subwoofer with a single 3-way system for a transparent, clear, powerful sound suitable for live bands, DJs or music playback in the club. The RCF SUB 8008-AS consists of two sturdy 18-inch woofers. The RCF NX 985-A is equipped with a 15-inch bass woofer, an 8-inch midrange woofer and a 1.75-inch compression driver. Both active speakers feature DSPs that allow you to use the presets and settings to fine-tune this configuration for the perfect sound. Also, the speakers ofver have FiRPHASE filters that result in a transparent and clear sound.

Wrote the following about RCF NX 985-A 3-Way Active Full-Range Speaker, 2100W

C'est un produit vraiment exceptionnel. Je ne la croyais pas aussi puissante, aussi percutante... Au départ , je pensais qu'elle serait légèrement supérieure à une PS15, car affichée en 2100W MAX (et NON RMS : donc au mieux 1000W MAX) Et puis, affichée moins de 2000€, je m'attendais pas à plus... mais en plus précis ! (car RCF est connu pour sa précision dans le médium-aigu, dans les fréquences prévilégiées des vocaux)
Et là, la claque !! La pression délivrée réellement est EMORME !! environ 3 fois plus puissante que des PS15 R2 !!! Une linéarité exemplaire, une diffusion de 100° verticale réelle, une clarté époustouflante ! (c'est pour cela que je les avais choisies d'ailleurs !) Je compare le son produit produit à une DSR112 de Yamaha qui a déjà un médium aigu remarquable, mais moins précis et moins puissant que la RCF. En terme de puissance la RCF envoie 3 à 4 fois plus que la DSR112 !! INCROYABLE !!! (mais vrai !)
Je ne comprend pas 2 choses :
1) pourquoi RCF annonce seulement une puissance de 2100W MAX dans les 138 dB, soit au mieux 1000W RMS alors qu'à l'évidence, c'est beaucoup plus....
2) Le tarif aussi bas, moins de 2000€ pour ce type d'enceinte... même s'il n'y a pas de réseau DANTE, mais des simples boutons à presser pour sélectionner le type de couplage avec une autre enceinte ou avec un SUB (sans passer pour un logiciel PC)
ATTENTION : mon appréciation se base sur des enceintes médium-aigus. Comme pour des éléments de lines array, il faut lui adjoindre des SUB doubles 38 cm pour donner du volume en basses fréquences !
Conclusion : Ravi des possibilités qu'offre ces enceintes pour un tarif aussi ridicule ! Vous voulez sonoriser une salle où le son est "dégelasse" ? Ce type de RCF est fait pour vous !

Geweldige subwoofer, veel power. En een super geluid. speelt de 30hz ook nog steeds vloeiend en zonder distorsion. kan niet anders zeggen dan er zeer tevreden mee te zijn.
