Shure A15PRS phase reverser

An XLR plug is a nifty feat of engineering. The three (or five) different pins, each have a different function and name, but these often get mixed up, which can cause polarity problems with the cable and result in a poor, unclear sound. In order to solve this problem, Shure have developed this switchable phase reverser, which reverses the polarity/phase!

Examples of situations where a phase reverser can come in handy: correcting a cables problem, connecting a microphone that sends out a "hot" signal on pin 3 to a mixer that receiver the "hot" signal on pin 2 or reducing interference caused by two signal with different polarities.
