General
This single Elixir 15170 Nanoweb Acoustic 80/20 Bronze guitar string has a gauge of .70. It makes an ideal B string on an acoustic baritone guitar. The use of bronze gives the string a relatively bright sound, while the thin coating ensures it retains the sound for much longer.
Why choose Elixir coated strings?
Due to the acid from your fingers and the humidity in the air, steel strings are subject to corrosion. String quality can be further detrimented by grease, sweat and dead skin cells that can accumulate between the string coils, inhibiting their ability to vibrate, and making them sound a bit ‘dead’. These Elixir strings have a thin protective fluoropolymer coating which creates a barrier between string and environment without affecting the feel or sound of the string. The result is a string set with a long lifespan that retains its clear sound for an extended period of time. Save yourself the frustration of having to change your strings frequently, so you can spend more time playing!
