General
With the 3/4-sized, parlour-bodied MA-1, Fender proves that a travel or children's guitar doesn't have to be boring. This FSR (Factory Special Run) comes in a cool black colour with a matching headstock. The smaller size is ideal for children between the ages of eight and eleven who want a good quality Fender guitar. Its small size also makes it suitable for use as a travel guitar for adults who don't want to take a full-sized instrument with them on their travels. It's a small Fender for a low price in a limited edition!
MA-1: Easy to play
It's not just the body that is smaller, the scale length has been reduced accordingly. The 23.3-inch scale length means that the frets are slightly closer together, making it ideal for those with smaller hands. The string nut, fretboard radius and c-profile neck all come from Fender's Classic Design series for optimal playing comfort. Improved tuners, together with the synthetic bone string nut and the rosewood bridge with compensated saddles, offer excellent tuning stability so that you can concentrate on playing.
Versatile sound
Fender chose sapele for the sides and back of this guitar to give it a warm, full sound and impressive look. In combination with the agathis top, the MA-1 has a lovely balanced sound. The MA-1 is fitted with Fender Dura-Tone 880L strings that add the sort of sparkle you can expect from an acoustic guitar. The Fender logo on the headstock and the decorated sound hole rosette make the MA-1 a real eye catcher.

Wrote the following about Fender FSR MA-1 3/4-size steel-string guitar black
Ik wou er persé een draagtas bij, natuurlijk met Fender Logo. Volgens de specificaties op de site van Bax werd deze tas niet bijgeleverd. Bij navraag aan een Bax medewerker, kreeg ik te horen, dat deze Gitaar inderdaad zonder tas werd geleverd. Na wat "Googlen" bleek, dat deze Gitaar bij de "concurrent" voor dezelfde prijs wél met Fendertas werd geleverd. Dit heb ik via de button "Elders Goedkoper Gezien?" doorgegeven aan Bax. Via mail kreeg ik het antwoord, dat ook Bax deze Gitaar voor dezelfde prijs kon leveren en er zou een tas bijgevoegd worden!
Zo gezegd zo gedaan: Ik heb Bax de bestelling laten maken (want dit kon ik niet zelf doen, omdat het een speciale order was ) en heb via de toegezonden betaallink betaald. Groot was mijn verbazing toen ik de doos uitpakte en zag dat Gitaar en Fendertas gewoon een set was ! Ik heb dus alle extra moeite gedaan voor niets, de tas met Fenderlogo zat er sowieso bij!
Maar oké, de Gitaar ziet er mooi uit en klinkt lekker. Alles is dus goed gekomen en mijn vrouw is blij met de Gitaar mét Tas.
Echter Als de productspecificaties en de informatie van bedoelde medewerker juist geweest waren, had dit toch wel wat tijd en moeite kunnen besparen!

Monday 19 October 2015Fans of punk in general, and Tim Armstrong in particular, are in for a treat. Fender has created a new version of the Tim Armstrong Hellcat in a matte black finish. The neck has a natural finish that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the body. If you want one, you'll have to be quick though, because only 68 of these have been made!
