General
One of the top models from Yamaha's FG800 range is the FG840 SFM NT Natural steel-string. It has a solid spruce top and flamed maple sides and back, which ensures a more transparent sound.
Sound gets better with age
One of the most important elements of FG800 guitars is that they feature solid spruce tops for a powerful tone with lots of sustain and warmth. FG would not be the best-selling guitars they are today without Yamaha's careful attention to detail and the enhancement of certain aspects including scalloped bracing for accentuated bass and mid tones and a more slender neck with rolled fret edges for improved playing comfort.
