The Yamaha FG series is one of the most popular range of steel-string guitars in history. One of the most prominent features is the solid mahogany top that corresponds nicely with its mahogany sides and back. Compared to the original version, this enhanced model has a more comfortable, slender neck with rounded frets.

Mahogany body

The sound of the solid top only gets better with age. The FG850 NT has a mahogany body and binding, resulting in an attractive finish and a broad mid-tone palette as well. The enhanced scalloped bracing ensures better projection of the mids and low tones.
