When it comes to studio headphone standards, Beyerdynamic has been setting the bar extra high for years. The upgraded DT 1990 PRO MKII studio headphones have been designed with professional producers, editors and mixing and mastering engineers in mind.
The DT 1990 Pro MKII headphones have been armed with the newly-designed TESLA.45 drivers and refer to Nikola Tesla, who played a key role in developing the alternating current electricity supply system as we know it today. The drivers actually boast a 1 Tesla magnetic flux density, resulting in sparkling trebles, clear mid-range frequencies and powerful basses, in other words, exceptionally life-packed sound. The design of the TESLA.45 driver also does away with any unnecessary components, making it less prone to defects and better able to follow the laws of physics that go into it.
If you spend all day in the studio, then comfort is just as important as the sound quality. Luckily, the second-generation Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros shine in either regard. The comfy, memory-foam-padded ear cushions limit the pressure exerted on your head, even hours into a long mixing session, and combine with a durable and ergonomic headband. Also, both the headband and ear cushions can be replaced after a few years of intensive use.
