General
Newly designed from the ground up to support day-long sessions, the Rode NTH-100 headphones don't just supply studio-focussed, pure and neutral sound, but are probably the most comfortable headphones on Earth. Backed up by Rode expertise, these headphones come finished with memory-foam ear-cuffs covered with Alcantara: a suede-like textile that's usually used to upholster the interior of luxury cars. And, like a Lamborghini, the high-performance NTH-100s have been built for intense work yet still manage to feel cool at the end of the day. The design also comes with a few nifty innovations, including a FitLok headband adjustment system - so once you've found the optimum setting for your head, the headband can be locked in place to prevent shifting. A pack of four colour-rings have also been included, so podcasters hosting multiple guests are able to efficiently colour-code the headphones to match the volume faders of their monitor mix.

Got these headphones last week and they are brilliant! I have top-end AKG and Sennheisser phones in my home studio but the Rode phones are now my cans of choice …. No contest. Great sound quality and extremely comfortable - even when wearing glasses. Rode gave really raised the bar with these!! AF

Over het algemeen zeer tevreden over het geluid en comfort, zelfs met bril. Ik gebruik hem vooral voor opnames en editten van podcasts. Enige waar ik last van kreeg na nog geen jaar is de audio plug in de koptelefoon zelf, na een beetje rommelen doen beide kanten L+R het pas goed. Daarom geen 5 sterren.

Ondanks het vrij zware gewicht zit hij comfortable. Overhet geluid geen klachten. Na een half jaar verstelpunt al afgebroen en 3 maanden later pok de andere kant van de beugel. Niet los te verkrijgen, dus nu met bouten moeren bijeen gehouden. Deze week viel ook spontaan oorschelpdeksel er af. Kortom, voor mij niet weer zo een.

De geluidskwaliteit is goed en hij zit comfortabel, maar zoals andere reviews zeggen, breken de scharnieren al na een paar maanden (zelfs als je voorzichtig bent) waardoor de oorschelp af en toe helemaal losschiet en je hem weer aan elkaar de koptelefoon knutselen, daarnaast was hij hier een jaar geleden nog 96 euro (blijkbaar 85 euro bij een andere website) en heeft bax hem sinds ik hem heb gekocht steeds duurder gemaakt (op dit moment 135 euro). Voor die prijs is onderhand wel wat beters te krijgen.

Het comfort is fijn bij deze koptelefoon. Ook vind ik het design er erg goed uitzien. De geluidskwaliteit is meer dan prima voor het type videobewerking dat ik doe. De verbindingsstukjes bij de oorschelpen zijn wel van slechte kwaliteit, beide kanten zijn bij mij na 1/1,5 jaar afgebroken. Wees er dus voorzichtig mee!

Gekocht vanwege het geroemde comfort maar eigenlijk viel die wel tegen. Hij zit niet slecht maar is zeker niet comfortabeler dan andere studio-hoofdtelefoons. Zeker met bril geeft deze snel last bij de oren. Ze waren wel inventief als het gaat om de vorm van de schelp, de mogelijkheid om de kabel zowel op links als op rechts aan te sluiten, de lock om de schelpen vast te zetten als de band goed is ingesteld, de optionele microfoon, de kleurklemmetjes.....maar de schelpbevestiging ging als stuk in een week zonder dat er veel mee gedaan werd. En dan het belangrijkste: Het geluid is wat beperkt in detail vergeleken met andere studio-hoofdtelefoons. Door redelijk veel laag wordt het geluid wat troebel. Als je daarna bijv. een DT-770 Pro opzet dan hoor je ineens veel meer (en als je weer teruggaat mis je geluiden) Kortom: een 9 voor het idee, een 5 voor de uitvoering.
