General

The JBL M-Patch 2 volume controller is ideal when you want to adjust the volume of your mix to hear how it'll sound over your speakers. Of course, you can use the main fader of your mixer to do so (hardware or software), but you'll want to leave the unity gain control alone. The M-Patch 2 is basically a comprehensive volume control for your monitors.

Possibilities of the JBL M-Patch 2

When you connect two stereo sources to the stereo and aux inputs on the M-Patch 2, you'll see you have a volume control for each. On the control panel, you can select which source you want to listen to. You can also use the two outputs to hook up two sets of stereo speakers and easily switch between them which is a great advantage while mixing. Another option is listening via the headphone output, which also has its own volume control. You can even switch the signal to mono, which is beneficial in checking whether or not your mix is mono-compatible. In short, the M-Patch 2 is a very handy piece of equipment that's sure to enhance your workflow in the studio.

Wrote the following about JBL M-Patch 2

Prima volume controller voldoet aan de verwachtingen. Voor mij is de oog gevallen op dezer controller omdat ik een Chromecast (audio) naast de geluidskaart op de monitorboxen wil gebruiken. Dat gaat prima, ook handig is dan de aparte volume regeling van beide bronnen, voelt als degelijke volumeknoppen.
Nadeel: de LED's op de voorkant zijn te fel! Ze verlichten je bureau op, vooral de blauwe LED. Jammer deze ontwerpkeus, dit verwacht je eind 2017 niet meer bij een (merk)product. Of de adapter eruit en passief gebruiken zonder koptelefoon uitgang.

Wrote the following about JBL M-Patch 2

Eenvoudig product, het is passief en heeft dus (gelukkig) geen adapter voor voedingsspanning nodig. Alleen wanneer men de koptelefoon versterker of de indicatielampjes nodig heeft, moet er een adapter ingeplugd worden. De potmeters en schakelaren voelen degelijk aan; ook de behuizing is stevig en is netjes in de lak gezet. Het doet wat het moet doen en de bediening is overzichtelijk.

Het enige dat ik wat minder vind is dat de behuizing niet goed geassembleerd is; de bodem is namelijk niet 100% vlak en 'waggelt' dus wanneer men hem los op bijv. een tafel zet.
ik stoor mij er echter niet zo veel aan, aangezien het niet het eerste product met metalen behuizing is waarbij de boel niet 100% vlak is.
