The Great GRAMMA V2 is Auralex's high-end isolation panel for large speakers, monitors and amplifiers. At 30" by 19", the panel offers ample space for any 'oversized' speaker cabinet while the 1.75" thickness is more than enough to keep the surface below the panel from resonating along with your speaker or bass amp.

Wrote the following about Auralex Great GRAMMA V2 Speaker/Amplifier Isolation

I play bass and noticed in rooms with suspended wooden floors and wooden stages there is a lot of boom - so much so the sound of the bass is completely different from solid floors. My stack is a 1x12 on the bottom with 2x10 on top of it. I placed the Gramma on the floor and the 1x12 on the back leaving an area of the Gramma in FRONT of the cab (this is important as reflective transmission is a factor as well as mechanical transmission).
The result is exactly what I wanted - a huge difference in bass sound - no the sound of my amp/cabs is clearly heard without the mud induced from reflective/mechanical transmission into the floor.
Very very happy - and so are the band who can clearly hear me now!

Ik heb hem aangeschaft voor mijn basversterker. Qua trillingen in de ruimte waar de versterker staat maakt niet veel verschil uit. Het doorklinken van het geluid van de versterker is wel iets minder. Dat betekent dat men in de rest van de woning het geluid wel als iets gedempter ervaart. Het dreunt minder door.
