Isoacoustics developed this innovative ISO-L8R speaker stand for smaller studio monitors and speakers. This stand will improve your speaker system's performance considerably. Because the speaker floats above the ground as it were, ambient noise are a thing of the past.
Isoacoustics ISO-L8R130: Highly Versatile
The ISO-L8R130 is suited for monitors from a width of 5 inches (12.7 cm), with a maximum weight of 9 kilograms. Thanks to the included frame tubes and inserts, you can place your speaker in different positions. This way, you can vary with the height and the angle of the speaker. The lowest position is 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) and the highest position is 8 inches (20.3 cm). This allows you to create the optimal sound projection in every room!

My 'Q' acoustics speakers were quite boomy on my oak desk, so I decided to purchase Iso acoustics ISO-L8R130 stands. I have used them with the longer rods so the speaker tweeters are at ear height. Though the base is still apparent it is less dominant as it's decoupled from the desk. I am happy with the result as the higher frequencies cut through more.

Ze zijn makkelijk te installeren, ook mogelijk om op helling te zetten. Dus op het eerste zicht veelbelovend. Echter zijn ze totaal niet stabiel, wat dus niet voor een heel eerlijke geluidsweergave van je speaker zorgt. Het is dus heel belangrijk dat ze op een vaste ondergrond staan, geen wankele tafel ofzo.
Ik gebruik deze in de studio voor een mixcube, een kleine speaker die nauwelijks bas reproduceert... voor deze speaker een ok alternatief. Voor zwaardere speaker, die voor meer luchtverplaatsing zorgen zou ik deze standjes zeker niet aanraden

Helaas geen succes in mijn opstelling. Bedoeld om trillingen niet aan het bureaublad door te geven. Dat zal best lukken, maar het eindresultaat is minder fraai geworden: meer scherpte, slechtere focus en minder natuurlijk. Op de 'lage' stand staan ze redelijk stevig, maar op de 'hoge' stand wiebelt het ontzettend. Ik vermoed dat dit mede verantwoordelijk is voor de wat slechtere prestaties. Geprobeerd met Harbeth P3ESR speakers van ruim 6 kg per stuk. Ik verwacht dat het een betere match is met wat lichtere speakers. Op zoek naar een andere oplossing.

Deze ISO monitor standaars zijn prima voor de huis tuin en keuken studio's.
Ze vallen wat kleiner uit dan verwacht waardoor de serieuze monitoren er niet heel lekker op staan.
De bedoeling is om ongewenste resonantie te verminderen en dat doet het. Weliswaar minimaal maar toch!
Voor thuis is dit hartstikke leuk. Voor de beetje serieuze studio is dit niet wat je gaat gebruiken.

Ik gebruik deze standaards voor mijn studio monitoren. Door deze standaards staan ze in de perfecte hoek op mij afgesteld, waardoor het geluid erg helder wordt. Het in elkaar zetten is geen hogere wiskunde, ze zijn dus erg gemakkelijk in elkaar te zetten. Op het moment dat je een staafje met opzetstuk in een van de houders hebt geplaatst, is deze er wel uit te halen, alleen de kans is groot dat het opzetstuk achter blijft in de houder, en die zijn er dan erg lastig uit te krijgen. Bekijk vooraf dus welke staafjes en welke opzetstukken je wilt gebruiken, zo voorkom je dat er iets vast blijft zitten. Verder staan de standaards erg stevig en doet de isolatie zijn werk zeker goed.

Het is ongelooflijk hoe het geluid van de studio-speakers zuiverder wordt en bijna bevrijd lijkt. Prachtig product voor de fijnproevers!
