General

The Gibbon 10 is a serious active subwoofer from the seemingly less serious Monkey Banana. As good in a professional audio environment as it is in the home-studio, this sub is happiest when coupled with a matching Gibbon nearfield monitor. The 10-inch woofer will only compliment said monitor with a perfectly balanced layer of the lower, driving frequency range. The sub layer starts at 20Hz and ends at around 200Hz, perhaps piquing the interest of any DJs looking to improve their setup. As well as small-ish studio spaces, this all-rounder of a subwoofer will also gladly fill any large living room.

If your budget is no more than £400, you cannot do better than this sub. It's scary to turn it up past 50% volume. It doesn't distort and can crossover as high as 120hz which is very impressive, although unnecessary for a sub.

Hele goede sub voor deze prijs.

Ben zelf erg lang opzoek geweest naar een sub die echt sub laag weergeeft. Na veel demo's geluisterd te hebben was ik nog steeds erg benieuwd naar de Monkey Banana Gibbon 10, helaas was deze niet als demo. Dus heb deze besteld om te luisteren in de winkel, meteen viel hij goed in de smaak.

De sub geeft een heerlijke strakke bas weer, kan echt sub laag maar kan ook prima als DJ-sub gebruikt worden om een mooi feestje neer te zetten. Kan hem ook gebruiken om films mee te kijken voor een beetje extra ervaring. Heb deze sub gecombineerd met een setje Adam Tv7's en een setje Focal Alpha 50's. Instellingen van de sub zijn makkelijk aan te passen achterop, 1 keer goed zetten en je hoeft er niet meer aan te komen, ideaal.

Ik raad deze sub aan iedereen aan die een redelijk goedkope sub zoekt.
