The Juno Di is Roland's new starter model. This synth has been designed for mobile musicians: it only weighs six kilos and is battery-powered. The Juno Di has an eye-catching appearance: Roland have given the synth a beautiful retro design. Although this lightweight synthesizer weighs only six kilos, it is a real heavy-weight contender as far as sound and functionality are concerned. Roland have equipped this professional synth with an arsenal of sounds. The Juno Di features more than 1000 excellent instruments.

To make it easy to find your way around all these options, Roland have fitted the synth with a number of user-friendly controls. Thanks to the dedicated category buttons, you can effortlessly find the sounds you are looking for, making the Juno Di very pleasant to work with.

Operating the Juno Di is easy. The synth is fitted with category buttons, which enable you to quickly find the appropriate sounds. Are you looking for piano sounds? Simply press the piano button. You can also assign your favourite sounds to the favourite buttons of the Juno Di. Editing, layering and splitting sounds is easy thanks to the large, well-organised display. The Juno Di is equipped with a vocoder and with a microphone input with a reverb effect.

You can easily accompany yourself with this synthesizer while you are performing. Save your music files on a USB stick, place it in the USB memory port, and you can sing along with your own music or with a backing track. The Juno Di can read all types of audio data, such as MP3, WAV, AIFF and SMF. Both beginning and professional users will enjoy working with this compact, user-friendly synthesizer with its excellent sound quality.

Wrote the following about Roland Juno Di synthesizer black

Ik heb de Roland Juno Di synthesizer nu al bijna een maand en het bevalt me super!
De geluiden die de soundbank bevat zijn fantastisch en van goede kwaliteit. Vooral de orgels, en dan met name het rockorgel, vind ik heel gaaf. De geluiden zijn onderverdeeld in verschillende categorieën zodat je snel het goede geluid kunt vinden.

Het keyboard heeft allerlei leuke toevoegingen die je niet bij elke synthesizer vind zoals de ingebouwde vocoder, de D-beam die je voor verschillende toepassingen kunt gebruiken, 5 knoppen voor de sound modify, een songplayer, ingang voor een usb-stick en nog veel meer!

Ik gebruik het keyboard als extra keyboard boven mijn stagepiano in een band, en ook gebruik ik hem voor in mijn studio. Het keyboard is voor veel toepassingen geschikt, is erg compact en handig om mee te nemen.

Nadeel vind ik dat het lcd-screen nogal klein is en dat er maar beperkte informatie opstaat, ook het gebruiken van batterijen in plaats van een stroomadapter beveel ik niet aan. De synthesizer verbruikt te veel stroom voor batterijen, deze gaan gemiddeld slechts 2 uur mee.

De ingebouwde effecten vind ik ook heel vet. Ook is het erg handig dat je een beperkt aantal geluiden in de favorietenbank kan zetten, zo kun je tijdens een optreden snel switchen van geluiden en heb je geen gedoe met opzoeken waar het geluid zat.

Hier nog even kort de plus en minpunten:
+ Geluiden van goede kwaliteit
+ ingebouwde vocodor, D-beam, sound modify, songplayer en usb-stick ingang
+ compact
+ ingebouwde effecten
+ geluiden onderverdeeld in categorieën

- lcd-screen is erg klein
- batterijen gaan niet lang mee

Kortom: als je een niet al te dure synthesizer wilt maar je wilt wel kwaliteit, dan is de Juno Di aan te bevelen!
