2014 marks the 40th anniversary of Yamaha's first synthesizer. Since then, it's become nearly impossible to imagine a stage without a Yamaha product on it, and the Motif has become a permanent fixture in live performances. The Yamaha Motif XF6 WH is the special anniversary edition of the XF6, and features a sleek white finish for a fresh, distinctive look. To mark the occasion of the anniversary of this top synth, the 40th Anniversary Box is included. Also included is 1,024 MB of flash memory, a coupon, a 40th logo sticker, a Message Card and a USB stick with 4 GB of extra sounds.
Yamaha Motif XF6 WH: sounds
The Motif XF6 WH deals in top-rate sounds, and it offers an impressive 741 different sounds from all kinds of instrument groups and genres from around the world. Another feature worth mentioning is the two Yamaha grand pianos that have been sampled: the CFIII and the S6. These are, of course, famous instruments with an equally famous sound. From electric pianos and organs to string instruments and lively articulated horns to layered synth sounds, the Motif XF6 WH has it all. VCM effects and digital integration
Good sounds are a must, but they really come to life with the DSP effects, which sound just as great. Yamaha has always been strong when it comes to effects, but the Virtual Circuitry Modeling effects featured in the Motif really have that high-grade sound of studio plugins. Moreover, most of the effects have been edited in great detail, so the sound that you hear in your head is easy to produce with the Motif. Furthermore, the XF6 WH is equipped with a Remote Control function, so it can be fully integrated with your DAW. It's compatible with Cubase, Sonar, ProTools, Logic and Digital Performer, so you can use the various faders and rotary knobs to control the software functions. Perfect for studio use.
