General

From motors to tuning forks, Yamaha makes it all. What we're interested in right now though, is their collection of synthesizers. Yamaha has actually been producing synthesizers for 40 years, some of which have even gained cult status in that time. In celebration of their success, the Motif XF8 comes with a 40th Anniversary Box with 1,024 MB of flash memory, a coupon, a 40th logo sticker, a message card and a 4GB USB stick with more sounds than are available in the XF8. So join the celebration with this extensive set!

Yamaha Motif XF8: useful sounds

The big advantage of the Yamaha Motif series is the usability of their sounds. Yamaha worked hard to make all of the sounds offered as natural as possible, and they've edited everything in minute detail. No less than 741 MB in waveforms is offered to give you an expansive choice of both acoustic and electronic sounds. They're yours to layer and combine as you wish, and you can even sample your own sounds, should you so choose! You can also easily save your presets in one of the many User-slots of Performances. All of these options make the Motif XF8 completely customisable.

DAW compatibility and VCM effects

A modern synthesizer such as this Yamaha Motif XF8 is often used in studios, and for this reason, it's equipped with a Remote Control function so it will work perfectly together with your favourite DAW. The different buttons on the synthesizer's control panel work to control the various functions of your software. Furthermore, you can give all of the fantastic Yamaha sounds that little something extra by equipping them with high-quality DSP effects. These Virtual Circuitry Modeling effects are comparable to high-grade studio effects, and they can be modified in great detail, making the Motif XS8 a perfect choice for the versatile user.
