General
The Electro Voice PL 35 is a dynamic tom and snare microphone. It's been designed to reproduce the powerful, pointed and organic sound of toms and snare drums regardless of the size of the sound system or studio. The frequency response of this microphone has been tuned to the tonal range of toms and snares to ensure a tone and an impact that drummers and sound technicians want.
Super-cardioid directivity
The super-cardioid directivity ignores sounds at the sides and back of the microphone, which is useful, as it keeps the sound of the tom or snare drum well isolated from other drums in the area. As a result, a higher gain is possible before the microphone starts to feedback.
Design
This PL 35 has been designed in such a way that the attached cable falls at an angle. This means that the microphone takes up less room, which is a great advantage when dealing with crowded drum sets. The PL 35 by Electro Voice is delivered with a drum-rim clamp so you can avoid having to place microphone stands around your drum kit. This PL 35 guarantees a well-amplified, tidy drum kit.
