When you want to produce a drum sound strongly reminiscent of the rock & roll drum sound of the 1970s, the Evans Hydraulic Black is a good choice. This tomvel produces a short and deep sound strongly reminiscent of this classic sound. This sound is created by a combination of double-layer drumheads, an 8-inch diameter, a 7 mil thickness and the oil located between the two layers. Because of the ease of tuning this drumhead, this drumhead is very accessible to everyone.

• In mid-2019, Evans changed the logo on the sheets. It used to have 'Level 360' on it, which is no longer the case with the new sheets. The sheets with 'Level 360' on them are still in circulation, so you might receive one with or without that text. Otherwise, the sheet is completely the same. All sheets are still delivered in the old box, which will also be replaced at the end of 2019.
