General
Everybody knows them. Remo's clear Pinstripe drumheads are instantly recognisable and you'll find them all over. These drumheads offer absolute top quality and a great sound. The head consists of two plies of 7-mil (0.178mm) Mylar with the Pinstripe ring in between. And this ring is there for good reason: it dampens any high overtones and allows for much better resonance. This 10-inch Pinstripe drumhead offers short sustain and a warm sound, making it ideal for pop, rock and R&B music.

De allerbeste vellen voor live optredens. Onlangs alles weer vervangen op mijn live-drumkit en na enkele uitstapjes weer terug naar clear-pinstripes. Pinstripes klinken moddervet, stemmen heel gemakkelijk en gaan lang mee. Ik had per ongeluk een 10" gecoate versie besteld (wist niet eens dat die ook bestonden), deze kon ik via het retourformulier kostenloos retourneren en kreeg 2 dagen later al het juiste vel geleverd. Uitstekend geregeld, Bax-Music!

Een klassieker, de Remo Pinstripe. Dit dubbellaagsvel klinkt vooral 'vet' en is dan ook erg geschikt voor (heavy)rock en dergelijke muziek. Vel gaat lang mee en kan zonder problemen laag gestemd worden. Er zit een stevige attack in. Als je een lange toon wilt moet je een ander vel kiezen (Remo Emperor bijvoorbeeld).

Meer attack, minder warm dan de coated (ruw witte) versie. Geschikt voorlage stemmingen. Erg duurzaam. Ideaal voor live. In de studio zou ik kiezen voor coated vellen.
