General
The Remo VE-0108-00 is a drumhead that channels the legendary sound of the very first Remo Emperors. When those heads were introduced in the 1960s, their recognisable sound swiftly became a staple in the recording industry and the drumming world alike. The VE-0108-00 is a Vintage Emperor drumhead - a reissue of the classic model, that combines its legendary sound with the durability of modern-day materials.
Remo VE-0108-00: legendary sound, durable quality
The 8-inch Vintage Emperor is best suited for use as a batter head for your snare drum or toms. Its two plies of 7.5-mil (0.19mm) polyester film offer a beautifully bright sound, medium sustain and highly controlled resonance. This particular Vintage Emperor head is a coated model, which means it has warmer undertones than a clear head. If you're looking for a vintage sound, the Remo VE-0108-00 Vintage Emperor Coated will not disappoint.
