General

Many percussion instruments are made of steel, such as steel drums, snare drums, caixas and some surdos, to name a few. Still, Latin Percussion has managed to create some new and unique steel instruments for their RAW series, such as this Street Can. Compared to a standard floor tom or a surdo, the Street Can sounds deeper and louder. Thanks to a 1mm-thick steel shell, they offer excellent resonance and a huge volume range, also due to the lack of a resonant head.

This Street Can is part of Latin Percussion's RAW series, which also includes such innovative metal instruments as the Jangle Bell, the Potz and the Trash Snare. Latin Percussion have added a number of unique percussion instruments to their assortment. Now the LP RAW Series includes a Trash Snare, Jangle Bell, Potz and Street Cans. These instruments were inspired by handmade instruments found all over the world that were built out of recycled materials.
