General

The Remo ER-1214-06 Set features one 12 inch and one 14 inch Rototom mounted on a chrome-plated aluminium stand. The size of these toms promote a relatively heavy percussive Rototom sound, making them a great addition to a drum kit as well as a percussion kit.

The Remo ER-1214-06 Rototom Set

Both toms come pre-fitted with a Remo Pinstripe drumhead, which supports clear and concentrated sound that can easily slot into the beat of most genres. The innovative rotating tension hoops are what give these toms their name, and remove the need to mess with tuning keys. Instead, the drumheads are tuned by simply rotating the tension hoop to loosen or tighten the head as needed.

Wrote the following about Remo ER-1214-06 Rototom Set

Ik ben al jaren fan van Rototoms en ze waren heel lang niet te krijgen. Daarom ben ik heel blij dat ik de 12” en 14” weer kan krijgen, zwart is minder mooi dan Chrome… Maar die zijn nog steeds niet te koop geloof ik. En ik had er ook een speciaal doel mee: ik ben er een compleet drumstel van aan het bouwen. De kwaliteit stelt me niet teleur. De standaard is stevig, de vellen zijn oké en ze draaien precies zoals ik gehoopt had. De bevestiging met de originele bout en de rail vind ik niet zo stevig, dus daar heb ik een andere oplossing voor bedacht: ik heb ze met behulp van een multiklem aan een rek gemaakt. Bij mijn bestelling ontving ik ook een strandbal, die heb ik meegenomen naar het festival Mixstream en daar ging de BaxBal tijdens Toontje Lager drie kwartier alle kanten op.
