The Vintage VTR800PB Viator is the almost pocket-sized, travel-format version of the VE8000PB Parlor. This super slim steel-string acoustic guitar is the signature model of British guitarist, Paul Brett, and as such, takes direct influence from the antique instruments of the early 20th century. The romantic, hourglass shape of the body is typical of the parlor guitars of the time, making the Viator the perfect travel buddy, especially since it comes including a thick-padded gig bag complete with backpack-style shoulder straps.
Due to the specific shaping, a solid spruce top, and a sapele back and sides, the VTR800PB has a surprisingly full and defined voice. In designing the Viator, Brett's intention was to build an instrument that authentically recreated the sound of a guitar from the '20s or '30s and, whether picking or strumming, that's exactly what this model does. To complete the feel with style, this gorgeous little guitar has been finished with roped inlays that line the edges of the body and surround the sound-hole.
Vintage Guitars started out as a budget brand that... somewhat justifiably garnered a number of negative reviews. However, that changed drastically when Trevor Wilkinson, known for his affordable yet high-quality guitar parts, attached his name to the Vintage brand. Not only did the Vintage hardware division receive a shot of quality, the wood selection and construction methods were also greatly improved. Since then, Vintage has made a name for itself by offering high-quality instruments alongside excellent value for money.
