This Omnibook contains 50 transcribed solos by jazz pioneer Miles Davis. The way Miles Davis phrases and the ladders and tone steps he uses in his solos have been immensely important in the continuation of bebop jazz and later avant garde free jazz and even later fusion. This book provides an excellent account, note for note, of exactly what Miles played. The book was originally intended for trumpet students but is suitable for any Bb instrument, so also for tenor or soprano saxophone or clarinet, for example.

Veel solo's! Iets om jarenlang plezier van te hebben. Gedetailleerd en duidelijk genoteerd. Sommige solo's zijn voor mij als beginnend trompettist nog te lastig, maar dan kun je er altijd nog wat frases en licks uit halen die zowel muzikaal zijn als een goede oefening.
