General

The Kala All Solid Mahogany Tenor XL is a tenor ukulele that combines the warmth of traditional mahogany with the playing feel of a compact guitar. Constructed entirely of solid mahogany (i.e. both top and body), this ukulele delivers a rich, warm sound with a wide midrange, subtle trebles and plenty of sustain. The result is a sound that offers both depth and clarity, perfect for singer-songwriters and experienced ukulele players. What makes this ukulele extra special is its XL design, with a slightly longer scale than standard tenor models. This allows for tighter string tension, more volume and a better-defined tone, while maintaining familiar tuning and playability. As a result, this model also feels very natural for guitarists making the switch to ukulele. The mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard offers smooth and stable playability, ideal for both chords and solo playing. The Graph Tech NuBone nut and bridge saddle ensure accurate intonation while the open (slotted) tuning machines keep the strings perfectly in tune. The satin finish accentuates the natural colour and grain of the mahogany and gives the instrument a warm, classic look. A sturdy case is included in the price.
